(NEW YORK) Some actresses attend fashion shows for publicity's sake. Others sit in the front row because they actually like the clothes. Kate Bosworth, who attended Francisco Costa's Calvin Klein Collection runway show in September and hosted a dinner in his honor, falls into the latter category. And now the results of her patronage have paid off, with the American fashion house today naming Bosworth as the face of its spring Calvin Klein Jeans ad campaign.

The petite actress will be featured along with Calvin Klein Man fragrance face Garrett Neff in a series of graphic print and outdoor ads shot in Los Angeles by David Sims, who also shot the current fall Calvin Klein Jeans ads featuring British musician Jamie Burke and model Lara Stone. The images are due to launch in more than 35 countries with print and outdoor media timed to coincide with February 2008 magazines.

Bosworth, as reported, is profiled in Vogue's February issue and while she is the face of Coach in China this season, the Calvin Klein Jeans campaign marks her first global portfolio.
"Kate's look is quintessential Calvin Klein," said Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer of Calvin Klein, Inc. Kevin Carrigan, creative director of ck Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein, added, "Kate is a true American beauty.

Her purity of style and sensuality are a perfect match for the natural, clean modernity of the Calvin Klein Jeans line. Pairing her with Garrett, whose statuesque, masculine American look perfectly represents the direction of the Spring 2008 offering, will make for a natural, dynamic, sexy campaign."
