B.Romanek - In July 2004, Brigette decided to design a handbag and give it to her friends for Christmas. An avid lover and collector of jewelry and handbags, she designed the perfect clutch – one that went from lunch with the girls to a walk down the red carpet. The Rock Star clutch in crocodile and The Lizzy clutch in lizard were born. When Christmas 2004 rolled around, she presented bags to twenty-three of her friends, each bag made especially for the personality and style of each of the girls. From there the B.Romanek collection took on a life of its own. Brigette's friends were constantly stopped on the streets by strangers asking where they could buy a bag. 
By February 2005, Brigette's bags could be seen on the arms of Demi Moore, Sheryl Crow, Gina Gershon, Courtney Cox, Christine Taylor, Alexis Bledell, Zooey Deschanel, Lisa Eisner, Rita Wilson and Jacqui Getty. By April, B. Romanek was picked up by Barneys New York and Kirna Zabete in NYC, both of which sold out of the bags in the first week.
