Just received my invitation to Couture Fashion Week in New York. They have the most amazing fashion and names ever, some I have never heard of. Quite an intimidating experience, the first time. They have designers from India, Lebanon, Romania etc. I will be reporting back to you on the show, with my own pictures etc. I truly envy everyone who has occasion to wear these clothes.

Knew that would get your attention!:)Beckham is the latest celebrity to take her kit off for the designer and his business partner Robert Duffy's initiative to raise money for The Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University — with T-shirts featuring the Spice Girl benefiting the cause.

"Since we have moved to California, I have realized how important it is to practice safe sun for myself and to keep the skin of my three boys well protected as well," Beckham said. "Skin cancer is a huge problem and I really wanted to help raise awareness by taking part in Marc and Robert's initiative."

Posh is in good company — Hilary Swank, Selma Blair, Julianne Moore and Christy Turlington are among the celebrities who have posed for the cause in the past. The $35 T-shirt featuring Beckham will go on sale at Marc Jacobs boutiques this week.

VALENTINO BIDS ADIEU...

Valentino, the Roman couturier who invented La Dolce Vita style, said his final "arrivederci" to fashion at the Paris haute couture season last night.

The designer's ultimate couture collection, his 90th in a 45-year career, was shown in a vast white marquee in the grounds of the Musée Rodin, on the Left Bank, before an audience of 900 which included European royalty, Hollywood stars and loyal customers.

Among the front-row guests were King and Queen Constantine of Greece, the actresses Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu, Dame Vivien Duffield, Lady Bamford and a host of fellow designers including Miuccia Prada, Alber Elbaz and Philip Treacy, the London-based milliner who designed Valentino’s hats.

The 74-piece collection was a romantic cavalcade which marked the end of an era and encompassed all of the designer's favourite signatures, referencing the precision tailoring, the graceful silhouettes and the red carpet gowns which led to him dressing, which led to him dressing, over the last four decades, a who's who of international style icons including Jacqueline Kennedy, the former Empress of Iran, Elizabeth Taylor, Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and Keira Knightley. AT LONG LAST! LOUIS VUITTON, BLASON AND PHARREL WILLIAMS

At long last, it is here, the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Pharrel Williams.A little dissapointing, nothing particularly, creative and original. Cherubs and pave??? Come on! Too bad, I was looking forward to drooling over the line. Like most things Louis Vuitton,is it really worth its price tag??Is it truly crass commercialism being passed off as luxury? You be the judge. I bet the party was fun!

"As guests poured into the mansion on Avenue Foch that Vuitton rented out for the party, Miceli, the brand's in-house jewelry designer, escorted friends Mathilde Agostinelli, Lanvin chief executive Paul Deneve, and Sofia Coppola through a maze of vignettes where mirrors and medieval armor creatively displayed the dazzling jewelry--which launches in April, ranges in price from $2,070 to $620,760, and is identifiable by a coat of arms inspired by French Freemasons. "It's like a fun house, but done Vuitton-style," Coppola uttered in amazement as she emerged from the all-black vitrine where strategically placed spotlights cast a distinct ray of light on the chunky "secret society" rings and bracelets, all featuring an LV-logo emblem that flips over to plain pavé. "I love the cherub ring." Pharrell elaborated on the design. "The cherubs I got from the tattoo on my neck because I think that everyone could use a little divine intervention."



JOver in the tightly packed main cocktail room, Yves and Rebecca Carcelle, Virginie Ledoyen, Cécile Cassel, Justin Portman and Natalia Vodianova, Marianne Faithful, Dita Von Teese, and Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, who made a late entrance from the Boucheron dinner, swilled their glasses of Ruinart champagne as they grooved to the music of deejay Jus Ske while screens played a launch video of the jewelry Williams and Miceli shot that features the music impresario's new track, "Everyone Knows."
"Our collaborative relationship was like a ping-pong game," compared Miceli, who added that Williams brought her books on 1930s Art Deco and Africa for design inspiration. "We're both obsessed with secret societies, and if I was in one I wouldn't tell you!" she laughed.
